The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) owns and operates Hoċokata Ti, the tribe’s cultural center and gathering space. It features a 3,850-square-foot public exhibit, Mdewakanton: Dwellers of the Spirit Lake, that provides visitors with a cultural experience to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the Mdewakanton Dakota people and their history.

Whether guests prefer to explore the exhibit on their own or desire a group guided tour, Mdewakanton: Dwellers of the Spirit Lake will provide guests with an educational experience unlike any other.
