WALNUT GROVE, MN | The 2021 Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant on the Banks of Plum Creek
The Wilder Pageant is a family-oriented outdoor drama in Walnut Grove, based on the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder that has been enjoyed over the years by 300,000 visitors. There is a live performance each of the 6 nights with all characters from the Walnut Grove area. Laura narrates the story, reflecting on her life in Walnut Grove in the 1870’s.
The Wilder Pageant is presented every July on the banks of Plum Creek, west of Walnut Grove. The hillside amphitheater has been developed with extensive lighting, sound, and special effects.
2021 Performances: July 9-10, 16-17 and 23-24.
It is our hope that visitors will take home with them a sense of history and a deeper understanding of the joys and hardships that challenged our ancestors when settling the prairie.
