Our On The River cruises provide you with a unique floating classroom experience and the opportunity to view Bald Eagles and other native wildlife that call the Upper Mississippi River Valley home. These seasonal cruises are guided by our expert naturalists and give you plenty of opportunities to learn about eagle biology and behavior and the wide variety of birds, fish, and wildlife that you will observe and encounter.

We will host a series of twelve two-hour cruises starting Saturday, May 25 and running through Saturday, October 12 aboard the Cal Fremling Interpretive Center & Floating Classroom out of Winona, MN and Wabasha, MN.

The Cal Fremling Interpretive Center & Floating Classroom is a state-of-the-art vessel operated by Winona State University dedicated to creating a greater understanding of the broad multifaceted nature of the Mississippi River, providing a distinctive, high-quality application of knowledge to thousands of students of every age within the region. It serves as a gateway to exploration and knowledge. This is an excellent summer day trip experience!

The boat has an on-board restroom, indoor and open-air seating, and is wheelchair accessible. Cruise registration is $60 for National Eagle Center members and $75 for non-members. Seating is limited to 45 seats per cruise, and they are expected to fill quickly. Book your cruise today!
