A Lens to link our past to our present, since 1978.

History Theatre has bravely and entertainingly explored Minnesota’s past and the diverse American experience. Located in downtown St. Paul, History Theatre tells stories that celebrate the joy, triumph, and resilience of people and our shared experience. “A banquet of entertainment with a side order of history,” critics say.

The new and exciting season begins this fall and features five world premieres that encompass entertainment, politics, and the contributions of individuals in their communities. Musicals about Harold Stassen, Betty Crocker, and The Kim Loo Sisters & plays about the MN connection to James Meredith and the integration of Ole Miss and renowned theatre artist Greta Oglesby.

Perfect outing for friend groups, school field trips, and anyone interested in learning more about the real people and real stories from MN!
