Join us on a guided journey through Latinx dance and culture! This interactive, fun-filled exploration features excerpts of the Ballet Hispánico repertoire narrated by their artistic leadership. Music, cultural connections, choreography insights, and history come together to deepen the students’ experience of dance. They are introduced to world-class choreographers and cultural contexts while learning about Latinx icons such as Celia Cruz and Tito Puente. The event includes a live dance session and a Q&A with trained teaching artists.

A lively, interactive show created specifically for a youth audience by one of the world’s most exciting dance companies. Throughout life, we all encounter rules, and we usually view them negatively. Rules @ Play explores how rules actually provide opportunities to solve problems and overcome challenges. They spark creativity, and in this case, give Pilobolus tools to make dances. Fun, engaging and accessible, Pilobolus dancers perform and analyze four of the company’s pieces through movement and discussion on and off stage, showcasing the benefit of playing by the rules.
