✨ Midsommar Celebration 🌻

Mark your calendars for Minnesota’s largest celebration of Midsommar! Make flower head wreaths, sing songs, listen to live music, and dance around the midsommarstång (maypole) at this family-friendly festival. Special musical guests this year include Twinflower, a Nordic flute duo, and the McNordiques, a trio of blended French, Celtic, and Scandinavian music. Advance ticket registration required. Walk-up sales available after 1pm. Anticipate limited on-site parking.

Cap off the Twin Cities Jazz Festival with Swedish jazz trumpeter Oskar Stenmark, blending jazz and Swedish folk tunes with roots dating back to 1762. Featuring new compositions from his latest release “In Front of Us” with 45 Riots, inspired by his Swedish heritage and New York City life. Plus, indulge in FIKA’s jazz-inspired menu by executive chef Amalia Obermeier-Smith. No minimum required, just bring your appetite!

Taste fresh ingredients and seasonal dishes this season. Try the new Gravlax with dill creme fraiche, black reddish, micro herbs, candied pink peppercorn, pickled beet relish, and Danish rye—perfect to share over fika! FIKA Café is ASI’s Nordic-inspired café in the American Swedish Institute. With the historic Turnblad Mansion in full view, guests dining at FIKA can choose from a seasonal menu dedicated to regional ingredients and New Nordic cuisine.
In warm weather, dine outdoors on one of the best patios in the Twin Cities and take in the Turnblad Mansion’s courtyard gardens. Walk-ins are welcome for all groups.
