Dive deep into discovery with all new education workshops! Add the Homes in the Sea, Sea Creatures, Sea Defenders, Habitat Explorers or SEA LIFE Careers workshop to your visit and enhance the learning and fun for your students. All workshops meet MDE standards. Education Workshops are an additional $3+tax per student. Reserve your time before space runs out!
Homes in the Sea – Recommended for preK-K. Visit creatures at home in the sea! Dive in to explore the fascinating and diverse habitats in our world’s oceans and the animals that call them home! Students will discuss what we as humans need to survive, how animals and all living things have similar needs, and what makes the perfect underwater home for some of the world’s most amazing creatures!
Sea Creatures – Recommended for 1st-5th grade. Invite students to learn about some of our core SEA LIFE creatures! As they dive into the worlds of sharks, jellyfish, and seahorses, students will think about the importance of animal welfare and use core aquarium standards to create their own creature tanks!
Sea Defenders – Recommended for 3rd-5th grade. Invite students to become Sea Defenders! They will investigate why it is important to protect our oceans and how their daily actions can impact marine environments. Students will be inspired to make changes in their lifestyle and actively contribute toward solutions.
Habitat Explorers – Recommended for 6th-8th grade. Invite students to become Habitat Explorers as they dive deep into the ocean habitats of some of our SEA LIFE creatures! Thinking about habitats and adaptation, students will consider the challenges of different micro-habitats in the ocean, matching creatures and their adaptations to the different zones that they discover, and eventually creating their very own sea creatures!
SEA LIFE Careers – Recommended for High School. Invite students to consider a career at SEA LIFE! They will explore the diverse range of job roles within SEA LIFE and the skills required for each of them, considering what it takes to become part of our incredible team and the types of challenges that employees face on a daily basis. Students will be encouraged to think about both their short-term and long-term goals for the future; they will be inspired to make the most of their skills in order to follow their dreams!
All Elementary school level workshops may be adjusted to fit your students level. Workshops must be reserved at least 14 days before visit.
